This past year or year and a half ish

I mean, who’s counting?

I have been

doing my best to

reduce or eliminate

the amount of plastic that enters this house

bring a vessel if I KNOW I am going to a tea shop

and ask them if they would please use my cup/bottle/vessel instead

bring containers IF I KNOW I am eating out

because I usually won’t finish everything

and of course
giving my stuff or selling it to whoever thinks they are cool

because stuff is better somewhere where someone will appreciate it

rather than it sit or hang in my closet being hopeful of being worn

and it never happens

I had a few other posts in my other blog

BUT

I have decided

I should make a separate page

and also ensure my material is mine

ie buy a domain.

lol

(yay google domains and squarespace btw!)

This blog will be my

continuing journey

towards a more

zero-ish waste lifestyle.

I still buy things.

Outside of groceries and food

and the occasional KPOP/Hip Hop/Miyavi concert

I missed BabyMetal- I KNOW #InfiniteSadness
(which is honestly surprising to most.)

But I try to reframe a few times

wait

and also think about its extended life
because

let’s face it

we usually buy stuff for specific occasions

rain, weddings, work clothes.

also,

where will all the packaging go?

I feel conflicted when I buy kit kats.

because of the packaging.

But We will go on and on

AND ON

about

success stories

fails

feeling conflicted

finding happy mediums

living with seniors while trying to be zero waste

flexitarian grocery spends

and more

in future episodes!

thanks for joining me for this adventure!

see ya next time ;)

I have a lot of interests

but to make sure I don’t get off track

this page will be about the zero waste journey

PPS I still buy things
I just try to refuse more, reduce, and buy less often.

When I make a purchase I reframe it, let the items hang out in the ‘cart’ for a while, and think about its possible after life (can it bio degrade, can we re/up cycle or sell it?)

I was definitely a huge consumer.
I am trying to change.

One day at a time.

Hang out for some fun stories, ey!
